NETFLIX
Netflix and Chill or just Netflix?
Sex Education
Brief
Netflix, the streaming giant, had to come out to announce the February releases.
But how to take ownership of a date where thousands of brands try to conquer the hearts of their consumers?
Being as original as our content.
Would you like to come over
to “watch Netflix”?
After receiving an invitation to watch Netflix, a question begins to reverberate in our heads again and again:
-“Am I being invited to watch Netflix?”
-“Or am I being invited to f*ck?”
We will turn that uncertainty into the core element
of this campaign.
We aimed to distance our campaign from conventional advertising, focusing instead on the common existential question when invited to watch Netflix: is it to watch content or something more? This ambiguity plays a crucial role in shaping the night’s expectations
And so, we created three provocative and suggestive pieces of content that play with the ambiguity of the phrase "Do you want to come over and watch Netflix?" where the protagonists are getting ready for a night of Netflix & Chill, but begin to doubt whether they are truly going to watch Netflix or simply "watch Netflix."
In addition, we created a series of special digital content that was advertised on pornographic websites with the typical style of online dating ads. To encourage people to invite others to 'watch Netflix' and not spend Valentine's night watching Netflix alone.
